Dear Lord,

We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; may they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy. We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; may they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways. We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion. We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever etched in our memory, with love. Amen.

Dear Families
This Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day. A special day to highlight the central roles our Mothers play in our lives. We also celebrate all the other women in our lives such as grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts, cousins, teachers and special friends who have helped to shape and form us into the person we are today. I would like to especially thank Casey Parker for purchasing and organising the gifts for the Mother’s Day Stall which took place today.  Thank you also to our wonderful gang of volunteers who show up every year to help. We are most grateful for your ongoing support. The students loved shopping for their mum and choosing a special gift.

We pray to our Mother Mary to bless all the mothers of our Sacred Heart School community. May she bless you all, inspiring and energising you by her gentle example of love and perseverance. May she guide you each day as you care and guide your child/ren to grow and flourish.

We have had a number of students at school testing positive for COVID.  Although it is predominantly in the grade 4 learning space there are reported cases in other learning areas.  Please if your child/ren feels unwell or has symptoms such as : Fever or Chills, cough, headache, sore throat, nausea, diarrhoea or fatigue please test your child. The Department of Health recommends 5 days of isolation.  If you require any RAT’s please contact the office.

I look forward to seeing you all next week at our Mothers Day liturgy on Tuesday.

Take Care Everyone

PEACEFUL KIDS PROGRAM

Sacred Heart is very fortunate to run some amazing programs including The Resilience Program and Peaceful Kids.

The Peaceful Kids program is a Mindfulness based program that helps children to build their emotional resilience.

Thanks Mrs Nolen for our "Peaceful Kids'" mascots.

We love seeing the Sloths ready for the next session.

Thank you to all families who donated Easter Eggs and gifts for our Sacred Heart Parents and Friends Easter Fundraiser. We raised $2312 from the raffle which is greatly appreciated.
BREAD TAGS FOR WHEELCHAIRS
Please save your bread tags – they will be recycled to fund wheelchairs, mainly in South Africa. We collect bread tags, then send them for recycling in Robe, SA. All funds raised through recycling are used to supply wheelchairs. It’s easy ….. save your bread tags for a while and then drop them off to our school office.
